Distracted and Evacuate part 6

Back at the forest things weren't looking so good. Sorbet turned at the assembled Pokemon with a raw fury that no one foresaw coming. He charged at them, his gaping maw snapping at the nearest 'mon which just happened to be Sadie. His jaws went right through her though and she jolted him with a sudden Thunderbolt. Sorbet didn't even flinch. The Gastly floated up to her, "We should go back to the others an warn them."

"Hmf, you go warn them. I'll stay here and fight," Sadie turned back to face Sorbet. "Take this you walking Popsicle!!!" She hurled a shadowy orb directly at Sorbet's face. "Bulls eye!!!"

The Shuppet flew next to the Gastly, "I'm going to stay as well Kip. We'll hold him back while you give them a heads up. Hopefully they'll have a plan B."

"Ok, but be careful Tsu. I'll be back with the army before you know it!" Kip flew back towards the small army of Pokemon heading their way, while Tsu went to go help Sadie. Sorbet, filled with rage unleashed a powerful Draco Meteor at Sadie. It was a direct hit. Sadie plummeted out of the sky and hit the ground. Tsu immediately began chanting a curse begrudging that movie, perhaps he could prevent that move from causing more damage. He hoped Kip would return soon.

Kip was flying so fast towards the approaching army that he passed right through Gunpowder before finally stopping in front of Fresnel. "The Hypnosis has worn off! Sorbet's gone a-wall!!"

Dieb tilted her head, "Wasn't he already a-wall?"

"Not like this!!!" Kip was flying back and forth nervously. "Tsu's back there still. Please tell me you have a back up plan, Fresnel!!!"

Fresnel rubbed his chin thoughtfully, "Maybe if we weakened him enough, we could trap him in the forest. Or at least slow him down enough to evacuate the village. Diebchen. Dimitri. You both know poisoning moves, yes? Well we'll start with that. Getting poisoned should weaken Sorbet considerably. Then we'll pound him with as many super effective moves as possible. That's where you come in Aleera, Relic, and Tyra."

"Argh, what about me? I get m' Dragon Claw."

"I have other plans for you Gunpowder, sir. You will go with Rikku and Tardos to create a barrier to trap him in. Rikku and Tardos will work together to dig a trench separating Sorbet from Tao Village. Then you, sir, will fill the trench with your Stealth Rock. I think that should work sufficiently to slow him down enough for everyone to evacuate."

"Well, then what arrr we waiting for! Move it ya scalliwags!!" Gunpowder led Rikku and Tardos to begin work on the trench, while Fresnel led the rest to Sorbet.

It wasn't a pretty sight when they arrived. Everything was white except for one eerie glow. Kip flew right towards it, only to find Tsu unconscious. Not far from him, Sadie laid unconscious as well. Putting on a brave face, Kip managed to get them both on his head by floating into the ground beneath them. He then carried them off towards the Law Firm without a word.

Meanwhile, Dimitri and Dieb initiated their plan. Dieb rode on Dimitri's head as he charged at Sorbet. He leaped into the air and slashed at Sorbet's chest with purple glowing claws. At the same time, Dieb leaped off of his head and bit into Sorbet's neck. Sorbet swatted them away like nothing more than an annoying mosquito bite. They fell into the snow and barely managed to get away as Sorbet stomped down on them. Dimitri took a quick glance at the injuries they caused. They were only minor scratches, but he noticed a sickly puss oozing out of them. "Good, it worked." Sorbet looked down at them and roared a massive Hyper Voice at them, sending them flying in a wave of snow.

Before Sorbet could send another attack their way, Relic and Aeera hit him hard in the side with their Flash Cannon and Meteor Mash attacks. The attacks were enough to unbalance him. Then Tyra rushed in an smacked him hard with her tail, sending him back towards the forest with her Dragon Rush.

Sorbet roared defiantly at them and began to summon his Draco Meteor, but nothing happened. He shook his head in confusion.

"Now's our chance!!!" Fresnel charged at him and punched him in the leg with a fiery fist. "Everyone aim your attack at this spot!" He shouted as he jumped back out of the way. Everyone followed suite. First came the Flash Cannon, then the Meteor Mash and Dragon Rush. Heatblast bit into the leg with flaming fangs right after Tyra rammed him. They both moved out of the way as Dimitri, Lance, and Yati rammed into the leg with their Double Edge, Volt Tackle, and Fly attacks. And finally, Dieb pulled the leg out from under him with her Electro Web. Sorbet fell to the ground as his leg gave out. Then to top it all off, Heatblast and Tyra engulfed Sorbet in flames with their Fire Spin and Flammethrower.

"That should do it! Everyone fall back!" Fresnel shouted at them.

Dieb managed to climb back up on Heatblast as they all ran back towards the village. She looked around. "Did you see where the ghosts went?"

Heatblast shook his head, "Nope, haven't seen them. But hey, they are ghosts after all."

Dieb nodded her, "Well, that's true."
